Artist Statement

In my work, I have tried to explore thread as a symbol that connects us to our past and future generations. The basic necessities such as shelter, food, and clothing were intertwined with the simple beauty of life. In our contemporary, materialistic world, it is easy to overlook these fundamental needs in favor of fleeting desires. Yet, I believe life remains simple, full of ups and downs, with both sweet and bitter moments.
I reflect on how our ancestors embraced the concept of thread, creating beautiful items that showcase their skills and creativity. These threads are more than just a material; it connects us to ancestors, who passed down their talents and traditions through generations.
In the realm of mythology, threads have special meanings too. For me, these are not just a tool; it serves as a means for women to express their creativity and talents well.
